Two arguing boys....arrrghh!!!

Holiday time and 2 weeks at home with ds1 and ds2. Trouble is they dont seem to be able to have any sort of conversation without it turning into an argument. At 9 and 12 would expect them to at least get on a little! Only peace and quiet comes from putting them in separate rooms or saying they can go on x box or pc (separtely). There must be another way!!!! Please help so I dont end up as Cruella de Ville for the rest of the hols!!

We go out every day . Yesterday's major row started with 12year old singing same song over and over again in 9 year olds ear. Then it's "mum !!! He,s annoying me !!" I have little patience when it comes o whining voices. The argument then escalates until I usually start ou ding like a fishwife !!!

Shouting

Ragged, seen two of your answers to different questions/problems. Why do you have to go out all the time? Shouldn't it be possible for children to stay at home and play and get on sometimes. Why do parents have to feel the need to be carting children about somewhere? No wonder roads are so chocca with cars and there are no children actually PLAYING OUTSIDE anymore. Of course I'm not saying don't go out at all but it shouldn't be the only solution, anyway if I take my DCs out they just argue but in a different place!

I have 3 ds 10, 12 and 14 and sometimes they drive me to distraction with their arguing and swearing at each other!!!
Only my middle ds will go out anywhere with me, the other 2 aren't interested and just want to stay home and play Xbox 24/7
