What's the personality types of your two?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant with no. 2 and have a 2.10 month old daughter. She is very cruisy and has been so pretty much since she was born. So what are the chances of having another one similar?! Most people I meet with two children say they are the the total opposites of each other, usually one is the laid back, easy going, good sleeper type, the other one, more full on/demanding, worse sleeper etc. What are your experiences? Has anyone had two reasonably laid back babies that have become easy going children, or might my easy days soon be coming to an end??

My eldest was a dream baby and an easygoing child. He still is in that you can reason with him and make him understand consequences.

DD is a whole other kettle of fish. She was a "good" baby in that she breastfed well, slept quite well etc. but even when tiny she had a will of iron. She pointblank refused to ever take a bottle for example.

Now at 3 she is very hard work. It's almost impossible to talk her into anything she doesn't want to do and she is very strong willed! She has major screaming tantrums which her brother never did.

So my experience is 2 very different children but fingers crossed you'll get another easy one ;-)

Ds1, now 4, slept thru from 5 weeks (honestly) is thoughtful, kind, sensitive and is eager to please.
Ds 2, 13 months is also a good sleeper but much more robust than ds1, we dn already see his cheeky side coming thru.
They are also completely different physically with ds1 being tall and willowy and ds2 being rather large and more 'sturdy'.
Before ds2 was born I couldn't imagine a child different to ds1, but it is so lovely seeing them both develop so differently.

My two, whilst the best of friends are quite different to each other.

DD1 is quite demanding, she is quite high achieving and she usually gets what she wants. She has been like this since birth. When she was hungry, I got a 30 second warning, and then she went straight to full volume. As a baby, she insisted on being carried around on my shoulder so she could look around and she was relatively early in sitting and crawling. She is very strong willed.

DD2 on the other hand, is much more laid back. I remember her crying at about 8/9 months and I was out with friends and they were shocked at her pathetic cry because they had never heard her cry before (and we met up weekly). She barely cried, and was a happy go lucky baby. She is still happy go lucky now. She is the peacemaker and she backs down quickly to placate others.
