I tend to sing nursery rhymes to E when cutting her nails, it seems to keep her amused and take her mind off of it! Also will often do one hand then leave her to play for a bit before doing the other, kind of breaks up the monotony! I sit on the floor with her back facing my tummy and wrap my legs around her to pin her down too! Must make for an interesting spectacle but works nine times out of ten!! HTH

I alway use clippers rather than scissors... still do now and the kids are age 7 & 9.... If you did it about half an hour after she falls asleep, she should be in a deep enough sleep not to be disturbed....

Bite them whilst you're feeding. Or wait 'til she's almost asleep then snip snip.
