Can anyone recommend somewhere other than clarks and startrite that sell good first shoes please, I cant believe the prices! £25 for a pair of pre or first walkers, its crazy! I know how important it is to have good shoes, but surely there are other suppliers.

TIA

TBH of the good shoes for kids, with width fitting, Clarks and startrite are amount the cheapest I've found.
Best bet is to find a nearby Clarks outlet, tends to be half the price and who cares if it's last season. And don't forget not to bother til they've been confidently walking for 6 weeks. My DS had bare feet til then and I do think it made him more confident, and he wasn't ready to walk outside before that anyway.

The best shoes I have had for all my children are Chipmunks.
They are usually the cheapest too. About 7 quid from Ebay, 12 quid in shops.
They stay looking new, have decent soles, loads of different styles. They only fit kids (from 1st shoes) up to about age 5 which is a shame as I have not found any as nice for my older children.
