What can I do with my cloth nappies now they are not needed

Obviously it would be an outrage to bin them. I have about two dozen terry squares and half a dozen mothereze wraps. There's no nappy swappable collective type thing in these parts. Shall I put them in the textile recycling?

There is a charity that sends them to orphanages abroad...google them. I sent my old ones there. Can't remember the name though

Smurfy1 · 21/03/2012 14:31

My dad used them as great window clothes apparently lol

Chubfuddler · 21/03/2012 14:32

That's a wonderful idea but would cost a fortune in postage.

I did think they would make good hand towels but I want rid ideally.

Freecycle!

Pascha · 21/03/2012 14:37

Get creative?

BeckyBrandonNeeBloomwood · 21/03/2012 14:38

list them on ebay/freecycle/gumtree/baby swap or shop/local selling pages on Facebook etc as free to good home if buyer collects or covers postage cost.or use the towelling as window rags/textiles recycling bank as last resort - I'm sure someone would be grateful for them!

NappyShedSal · 24/03/2012 07:20

I send nappies to an orphanage in Zambia - Kasisi Orphange. I would think that a parcel that size would probably be around £7.50 to post.

TheCunningStunt · 24/03/2012 08:30

You send them to a uk based charity and they send them abroad. You only cover postage to them hereSmile

MarksPA · 25/03/2012 19:51

try selling at a National Childbirth Trust (NCT) sale. Sale season for spring is upon us so you'll have to move quickly! Google NCT to find one in your area.

GwennieF · 25/03/2012 19:55

You won't be able to sell used nappies on Ebay - they changed the rules a while back. But there is a website called www.usednappies.co.uk which works in very much the same way as Ebay.

CelticPromise · 25/03/2012 20:09

And there is cloth nappy tree.
Or you can sell them on here. What size are your wraps? I know someone in need of some wraps!

Chubfuddler · 26/03/2012 17:52

I've got small and medium motherese wraps - you're welcome to them if you pm me.
