DD loves this! and being sick on it! time to wash it - but don't want to ruin it. Can I put it in the washing machine?

i washed my sheepskin last year - after a bit of research i decided not to put it in the washing machine as the agitation can cause the wool to 'felt' and matt together.

i washed it in the sink with eucalan wool wash (grapefruit, yum), let it have a good soak and squeezed the water through it with my fingers. then i put it in the machine to spin the water out.

finally, let it dry out of direct sunlight so the hide doesn't go crispy. give it a brush with a wire brush and it'll come up lovely!

I washed mine in the washing machine with wool wash.

It has a very strong smell whilst drying, but smell goes once dry.

Agree, brush with wire brush and it won't matt.

Make sure to wash on wool setting. Also to remove and brush promptly.

Washed ours in the washing machine loads Always a hair raising moment when it comes out looking small and like a dead thing odd. But it dries well and is back to normal in no time.
