Sleep question for 3month old son

Hi!

The last two days my 13 week old son goes to bed at 17.30. Normally his bedtime is around 18.30/19.00. There is no point in keeping him awake because he just falls asleep. I tried stretching it but it's just not possible. If I keep him awake he will be very very very grumpy. In the morning he wakes up in between 5 and 6. He still wants one ore two night feedings (I am breastfeeding). Last night he woke up 3 times.

Does it get back to normal? Maybe he has a growth spurt? Are there any other ways to get him back in sync without having to keep him awake?

Btw... I am on my own this week, because my partner is away for work.

Thanks!

It does get better and growth spurts are always horrible.

When he wakes up at 5/6 would you be able to get him back to sleep by feeding him in bed and co-sleeping for a couple of hours? If not then try to get a nap when he does in the morning.

Also try to make sure that he gets enough milk in the day and isn't needing too many calories in the night. It could still be a little while before he sleeps through. I found my daughter dropped one night feed at a time before sleeping through.

Good luck.

With the early bedtime, you could try putting him to sleep at 17:30 then waking him after an hour to feed and play before putting him back to bed at a more reasonable time for you.

5am - 6am is a great time to get up. Make the most of the day and all that. And, come the weekend when the clocks go forward, it'll be 6am - 7am. Dead normal
