Terry square nappy advice

Turtlesmile · 03/03/2012 21:51

We were using terry squares for DD until the winter but had to stop as we don't have much indoor drying space or a tumble drier. Now the weather is getting better, I'd like to get back to them. However, I was finding that we were getting lots of leaks as they were getting soaked through so quickly so am wondering if anyone can advise on anything I could use to boost their absorbancy?
Thanks!

Check out thenappylady.co.uk for suitable folds.
A really cheap booster is a microfibre cloth folded into a pad.

Also www.terrynappies.co.uk for folding ideas, changing the fold can make all the difference. Boosters may be needed, hemp or bamboo will be slimline but if you want quick drying like your nappies I'd stick to microfibre or cotton. Might prefer not to put the microfibre next to baby's skin though, it can be abrasive.
