A few days ago he was this angelic little 20mth old lad. Butter wouldn't melt and all that. However as he neared 21mths he started whinging and having tantrums.
Tonight he started throwing himself out of his cot and coming out of his bedroom in absolute hysterics
I kept putting him back in bed and as it didn't seem to be working stroked his head for a bit and then let him cry until he fell asleep.

Arghhh!

He always has gone down a treat at night. He still wakes up once or twice which is a nightmare, but never had a problem being put down in the evening.

Is this terrible twos, or can I break it?

Hiya i think its a myth that terribe twos is just for the over twos,my ds2 is 18months and has some monster tantrums, your ds just sounds like he s really testing the water he s probably just starting to realise that he is a person in his own right and that he can massively influence you and whats going on around him.
Hopefully it will just be another one of there many phases that they go through and b4 long you ll get your angelic little boy back.good luck

Yep, my DS1 started 'terrible twos' at 11 months. It may be the start or it may be he is feeling a bit under the weather. There are a lot of 'low grade' viruses around atm.
