I am just wondering if anybody has experience with aquanappies. I am not sure how they work if the bowelmotion is not solid yet. Don't want any leaks in the water. I have been recommended the Lioninthesun.com product. Has anybody tried them?

I bought these a couple of years ago, for my boy, he was just 6 months but a wee bit "cuddly". I bought the 12-18 months which fitted well. They're quite snug around the legs, which you want if accident's happen. He was on solids, so poo was fairly firm - not sure if I'd take a baby into a public pool before they have solid poo! Aquanappy washed really well - wore it a lot and will pass onto his brother. Actually bought quite a lot of stuff from lion in the sun, try their uv suits when your baby gets a bit older!

Ooh I want to know this.. I plan on swimming with my babba as soon as I can. My midwife said you don't even need to wait for first jabs anymore..

I waited until my boy was 8 months, even then the water was kind of cold for him - hard to find a pool with a good temperature for babies - anyone got any ideas? (I'm in Lancaster). But yes, Paula, I did use a Lion in the sun UV suit - they meant for sun protection but actually did a good job of keeping him warm. Used their aquanappy too, just because they wouldn't let me in the pool without one - we're nudists at our place... But this swimsuit was really good: www.lioninthesun.com/productdetail.asp?productcatalogue=First%20Swimsuit
