Friends?

Hi, I'm Amy, 20, with DS 20 months.
I'm a full time mum, and part-time student with Open University. On second year of 4 years to do BSc Computing with Mathematical Sciences. It's really hard work fitting in children and studying without comprimising family time.
My friends from school/college all live 150 miles away and are at Uni anyway.. and until 6 months ago didn't really get out much cos had no car and lived in middle of nowhere.
Moved to Bingham, Notts now, so meeting lots of new people, but none my age, feeling really out of place. The others look at me as if I'm a stupid teenager or something, but I love my OH, getting married in 4 weeks, and we planned our son. I hate being judged like that!
Anyway.. would love to get to know some other 'young' mums nearby/online for friendship and moral support.

I'm not a 'young mum' nor do I live near you but just wanted to say good luck! You sound really nice so I'm sure you won't have much trouble making new friends.

Also the netmums.com meet-a-mum section is great for meeting people locally.
