Looking for a Spanish Teacher / Best way to learn Spanish

Hi everyone,

I didn't know where else to post on Mumsnet. I need to learn a bit of Spanish until the end of July, when I will attend a wedding in Spain. (Part of my family lives in Spain, my uncle and cousin don't speak English or my native language so I will have to learn Spanish.) I work long hours and I also study for my degree by distance learning. Committing to a language school is not possible, I also live in a rural area at the moment and won't move to London until Easter. IS there are great website to learn Spanish (Like an online Spanish course?), a good book?! or maybe there is a Spanish teacher on Mumsnet who would be able to provide lessons over Skype/Telefon in the evenings. Of course I would pay for that.

Thanks, B

I've recently been learning Spanish from scratch with a mixture of Michel Thomas Foundation course (can pick up CDs on Ebay) and the BBC's free internet programme Mi vida loca, plus a bit of Coffee Break Spanish (also on internet).

I find that the combination of the 3 has been really helpful. We're going to Northern Spain in July so I want to have basic Spanish. I'm doing about 1-2 hours a week
