Anyone else's DC a toe walker?

DD2 is 21mths and has always liked tiptoeing about. Never really bothered me but ive just noticed the shoes!! Brand new Clarks shoes the week before xmas and they are already knackered at the toes! She's going to cost me a fortune.

She does ballet classes so I think ill have get her to limit the toe walking for then!

have a word with your HV as while all children walk on their toes at some point, but if they do it all of the time they may need some exercises to stretch their muscles so they can walk flat.

I know this as I've recently asked about my youngest who always seems to be on their toes!

What type of flooring have you got. My HV said since laminate flooring was introduced they are seeing more and more children on tip toes.

Oh thats interesting Podgymum.
We have solid oak flooring all downstairs.

She doesn't do it all the time so I dont think theres any physical problems as such (been googling!)

I remember DD1 doing it but not as much as DD2 does.
