Oops, wrong day for a birthday party???

Shit.... I booked my sons 6th birthday party yesterday for sunday 18th march, without realising that that day is mothers day. Is it a bad idea to have it on this day and will people actually turn up. Advice desperately needed please, as im really unsure what to do now??

Ask the invitees and see what response you get. Personally, I can't think of a nicer Mothers Day treat than to have the place boy-free for a few hours :)

it wouldnt bother me and if mine were invited they would go to the party. Its only a couple of hours out of the whole day so I wouldnt find it an issue

That happened to me a couple of years ago (it was the only date available at the venue we wanted). IIRC there were a couple of invitees who couldn't make it on account of big family get togethers for mothers day, but that was all
