Can anyone give me some ideas for French children's shows for a 3.5 DD being bought up in UK with one parent French one English. She is quite girly likes stuff like Peppa, Ben and Holly, Horrid Henry in English. We have exhausted Peppa in French and the other ones I tried to get her into to improve her French - Tchoupi, Barpapa (?) did not really grab her! Any ideas appreciated especially anything on youtube....

Bali? Moko (cartoon with educational aspect)? Trotro - a bit more "butch" than Tchoupi and co? Hopital Hilltop? Grenadine et Mentalo? Pacha et les chats (Canadian, mad but kids appear to like it)? Casimir? Elliott (also Canadian, maybe?) Mila raconte 1001 histoires?

Will keep thinking and see if I have any more bright ideas.

Amazed she's not into Barbapapa though - I thought the appeal of that was pretty universal!

Also, most (but not all - check the back) Handy Manny, Mickey's Clubhouse and Little Einsteins DVDs sold in the UK come with a French soundtrack as standard, as long as you don't mind selling your soul to Disney.

"Caillou" "babar" "les stroumphs" "marsupilami" "dora l'explorer" comes in french too and tries to teach you english (made DD1 ROFL).
Have a look here

Also try Asterix, my 3yo DD likes it (though pretty violent!), or Petit Ours Brun, or Les belles histoires de Pomdapi narrated by Henri Des. Barbapapa is fantastic, try again in a few months time maybe? On youtube you could also try Boule et Bill.

You can get Wonderpets DVDs with a French soundtrack. My DD loved them at a similar age. Caillou is a really sweet little programme, too.

Bear in the big blue house

Which wonderpets have a French soundtrack?
My ds is obsessed with la maison de mickey, all available from Amazon UK.

He also likes la nidouille and petits einsteins.
