my son whose in Y2 had 2 of his friends over after school. During dinner they were laughing about my son showing his bum while getting changed for PE today. My sons face dropped as he knows I do not find this behaviour amusing in the least. Then one of the boys said before half term he showed his winky out of the side of hos shorts while on the mat. I am so cross and mad right now he knows not to do this and it's inappropriate behaviour. Once the boys go I think I'm going to go mad! What do I do, what do I say?

You calm yourself down and tell him not to do it again because they are private. End of discussion.

Midge25 · 21/02/2012 17:52

Why would you 'go mad' about this?

Slambang · 21/02/2012 17:53

Small boys find this type of thing hilarious. Always have, always will.
If you go mad it wont help at all. I'd just talk calmly about how silly they all were saying that sort of thing and doing that sort of thing. Tell him you're a bit disappointed because you didn't think he was so silly.

The leave it. (You do sound a bit OTT about this tbh!)

Boys will be boys!

Calm down! There are worse thing they can do!

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 21/02/2012 17:58

Also, I have. 5 year old boy - I zone out of conversations with his friends, its for the best ;)

Octaviapink · 21/02/2012 17:59

Chill. It's boy stuff. Remind him that it's private and what that means. End of story.

SparkySparrow · 21/02/2012 18:00

Just wait till he hits his teens! Grin

CharlieBoo · 21/02/2012 18:03

Thank you... It's just he's done this before and we've had this talk.... a lot. He does think it's hilarious, they all do, but it's not appropriate... I will have another chat tonight, but it just falls on deaf ears. He will get in trouble for this at school if it continues that's why I'm mad and he knows this.

So let him get into trouble, let him learn that way if he's not listening to you.

He will grow out of it eventually in his twenties Grin

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 21/02/2012 18:18

Seriously. Lighten up. He is 5. He is a boy.

Slambang · 21/02/2012 18:22

So you're at the willies and bums are funny stage...

Just wait for the fart as loud as you can stage.
And the boobies are funny stage.

And then they find out about S..E..X...

I'd hold fire if i was you.

CharlieBoo · 21/02/2012 18:22

Sorry meant to type 6/7 but got distracted. Ok I'll rephrase it.

Lighten up, he's a 5/6/7/8 year old boy (delete as appropriate)

CharlieBoo · 21/02/2012 18:35

Ok I'll chill out, it's just we've been through this so many times.
