Hi I am putting my stroller for six months and up on preloved today.
It is impossible to find easy to use baby equipment from the high street and doesn't scream "I AM DISABLED AND LOOK AT MY NHS STUFF". Yuck!
It's a normal stroller, very very very light weight. I have arthritis every where, as I have had it as a child most of my joints are fixed and deformed, spine bent and wonky. I can lift this stroller into a car and I can fold it up and unfold it , even with very little movement in my hands.
The safety harness is so ultra easy to do up and undo.
It is for ,your interest, a Calypso Red stroller, from Babies R Us. Has a kick down bar which is mega easy and light to push and limited knee movement can manage it. All you do to fold it up is pull the bar back up with your foot. No levers, buttons, stupid un-needed accessories that make buggies impractical, heavy and a struggle.
This may belong else where on mumsnet but I want disabled parents to have a shot at getting this buggy because it is really dispiriting not being able to find an easy buggy to get your child out and about independently, my ethos is you don't need carers, you just need the right baby equipment!
The buggy is being sold for £10, buyer either collects from us in Gloucester or organizes a courier to collect it from us.
Please message me on here if interested and I shall send over some pictures of the buggy.
The minus points are the wheels are not swivel and if you are tall like my husband the handles do not come up so high as on the flashy models, but small people like me and my mother are quite happy with the height.
Cheers guys, mumsnet do feel free to stick this else where if more appropriate. However as I say, I want disabled people to have first dibs at this before others.
Carrie.
