DH is Head of Batteries...

Heard this funny conversation between DS1 (6) and DS2 (3) the other.... DS2 was complaining because his Brio train wasn't working, DS1 said, "Take it to Daddy, 'cos he's Head of Batteries around here..."

So, later, when they were having tea, I asked him, "so what is Mummy head of?"

Turns out:

Mummy is Head of:

• food, the fridge and the kitchen
• party invitations and presents
• reading
• clothes

Daddy is Head of:

• batteries
• mending things
• the garage
• the toolbox
• computers (fixing them..)
• TV/ DVD/ video etc

Ah - no gender stereotypes in our house then?

• no stereotypes at all that I can see.
