Bathing with your LO - when do you stop?

Our DS is 14 mo and i don't intend stopping bathing with him for a while yet, although i was quite alarmed when he tweaked my nipples last night Blush He has also just become very aware of his willy.

But I was wondering what others think is the right age to stop? What have others done? When do you start worrying about parental nudity, if at all?

I bathed with my 3year old last night :).

I would stop when you feel the time is right. I stopped bathing with my older ones around 4 years old although nudity is still common in this house :)

My 8 year old son I getting more private when bathing etc but he will quite often see me getting dressed in the mornings or will walk into the bathroom while I am in the shower...no big deal in this house.

We were still in the bath with my dad when we were about 10. We used to laugh at his willy floating! He mostly read his book and left us to it!! So I'd go with whenever it just winds down...

Glad you posted, matana. I have a 14 mo DD and I was wondering about this.

Do you BF? Because I find that that is what accounts for nipple twiddling as DD sometimes launches herself at me to bf in the bath.

My DS is nearly 4 and I'm beginning to be more private around him as he is very inquisitive now. I took him for a loo stop in Pizza Hut the other week, as I took my turn he gave a big sigh and said gravely, "I wish you had a willy, mum" :o

I have a bath with 4.9yo every night. No plans to stop.

Dd is 7. Either DH or I still have a bath with her a regular basis.

I BFed until 10 months mumwithdice so it's probably only a distant memory now. I just think he's getting curious - he's tweaked DH's nipples numerous times too!

It's good to see that i have some time left before i give up bathing/ showering with him!

I still bathe with my 3 yr old DD and 7 yr old DS now and then.

When you can't all fit anymore! Our 2 DS's used to hop in with DH every night, and then only one at a time as they got bigger, and then only one at a time when they got huge!

I think I started covering up myself a bit on the nudity front when youngest made up a song when he was about 5, called "mummys big bum bum"!

I will bathe with DS 7 and DD 4 untill we can't fit anymore. DS sometimes asks for his own bath so he can swim and play. They both have been curious now and then but all innocent and they're better asking me than other kids at school. My dilemna now is that I've just had DD 1 wk and donT think 4 will fit in 1 bath. Good chance for them to see my CS scar though!

DS is nearly 6 and loves a bath with me. When we redid the bathroom, the primary concern was a really big bath for the two of us Grin

DD1 is 9 and would love to bath with me still but I like to spread out, so we haven't for a while. DD2 has always liked her own space and never really bathed with us. When DD1 was 4 and I was pregnant with DD2 we used to bath together most days.
