Anyone else feel like giving up?

I am so p*ssed off. Started a thread earlier about being behind with an essay due to being ill, got an extension but then child/partner were ill so still not finished.

Just rang partner as couldn't find important folder, really fed up as my mum is here supposedly looking after DC so I can work but she doesn't get it and keeps interrupting me all the time and told him I was going to finish this module then pack it in, he just said "ok then". FFS! No suggestion that he packs in his masters...

I want to cry, I've tried so hard to be organised but just feel like I'm trying to plait fog :( other people manage so why can't I?

Oh poor you - your DP probably thinks he's being helpful. Can you go anywhere to study -local library, coffee shop to stop your mum interrupting? Its very stressful when you don't feel on top of things. Don't give up, just get the essay done and then move on.

Hmm, that's a very charitable interpretation of what he's being! I got a bit of peace finally for an hour this afternoon and fingers crossed LO is in bed now so will see what I can get done.

Thanks for the sympathy, it does help :) I think I'm just fed up because of needing an extension and also my work are being nobs about my maternity leave etc., this is a convenient target for all my stress!

Well if I have a rant about my course DH's response is "you could give it up if you want to". He doesn't understand why that is completely unhelpful!

Hope its going ok - I got so completely fed up with my masters that I had to take a break and will be restarting in May. I'm starting to get very slight twinges of looking forward to restarting which considering how much I was hating it is a bit of a miracle. Why do we put ourselves through this stuffSmile

I know!
funnily enough my DP has never mentioned packing his own course in...I've decided to hand in an incomplete essay, it's not worth winding myself up over. I've got 80+ on everything else, I can afford a crap mark on this one. Shame cos I enjoyed the reading and everything...never mind. Will look on it as a lesson and be more organised in future to allow for inconveniences!
