Hi there

Just wondering if anyone can give me some nappy advice. I use Pampers nappies (either Active Fit or Baby Dry) and recently as my ds has got older they have often burst in the morning, the gel is everywhere and he is soaking!!
Can anyone recomend a good alternative brand? I have tried a size up in Pampers but the same happens.

Thanks!

Bambo
Moltex
Samples of both available too

These Eco brands work really well overnight, even with DS's biggest wees. They are £££ but worth it. During the day you need fewer than with Pampers etc and they last the night. I used to get them online (DS now potty trained, using cloth nappies with DD) but Moltex are available in some health food shops. Never seen Bambo in shops, but they are brilliant.

Asda's own. vastly superior to Pampers. Tesco are good too. You could try going up a size for his night nappies too, sometimes holds a bit more wee!

I second asda!! Was dubious at first but they are far superior to the other brands that didn't work with dd. also slightly cheaper. I do agree though you need to try out several brands to see what suits you best.

All own brand nappies are superior to Pampers. Lidl are my personal favourites. Never leaked.

Hey there

So I bought some Tesco nappies yesterday in a size up, it still burst at 5.00 this morning! Not sure if my DS just does massive wees or if it is because he sleeps on his tummy..
Anyway, I might try one of those eco nappies above.

This sounds a bit odd but erm... How to put it... When you put his nappy on, which way are his bits pointing? We found that DS was having bursting nappies if he was pointing up (usually when he had been wriggling so had to pull his nappy up with him standing) but if we make sure it's pointing down we have no problems! DS is 11 months so similar age, this has only been an issue for about a month!

CogitoErgoSometimes · 10/02/2012 08:55

I used to find that only happened if I'd put DS in too small a nappy. Pampers were best IMHO. Go up a couple of sizes if the next size up doesn't work.

We have never had a leak or a burst with the pampers active nappies and ds wees for England over night. Might be worth a try over the baby dry, as it may be agrivated by wriggling esp if a tummy sleeper.

Had mare with this myself. Go up sizes as you have been, bits pointing down making sure nappy quite high at front and vest to secure it. I ended up limiting his liquids later in day which only thing that works even now (14months).

Hi there I've been using lidls own brand with my 10month old. They are fantastic and really cheap too! Smile
