I wondered if anyone can help. My dd is 8 months old. She currently has a cold, teething and an infected finger, were not sure how!
She is eating fine but is completely off her milk :( she pushes her bottles away, ive changed the nipple, kept it cold warmed it up but nothing!
Its been going on for about 4 days now.

Hiya, don't worry about her not drinking her milk - my daughter also went through a stage where she wasn't bothered with her milk. Is she drinking any fluids? it's important for her to keep her fluids up and as long as she is eating then try not to worry. Might be a good idea if you increase the calcium in her food e.g. give yoghurts, cheese etc. Im sure that she will start having her milk again soon.

Is it the bottle or the milk? My (EBF) DD took a bottle at 3-4 months (she had to, I was working) but now refuses one. She prefers a cup.

Forgot to add, my DD is also 8 months.

It's likely that if she is teething then her gums will hurt when she drinks from a bottle, its probably uncomfortable if her nose is bunged up too.

Perhaps try giving her some milk in an open cup. Otherwise you could try giving her some pain relief either dentinox, powders or nurofen or whatever you prefer, after holding her in a steam filled bathroom, or after using saline to clear her nose.

Good luck.
