I just cut out both my dc's dummies and it was the best thing i ever did! They were 2.11 and 2 years at the time (Last month). The first few nights they were waking earlier than usual, they normally wake at about 8am and were walking at 7 so not too bad. they also used to chat to eachother for about 20 mins in bed every night and without dummy it is taking longer for them to doze off but ita fine.

Im shocked, they never ask for it. We even had one of my friends dd stay a few weeks ago who has a dummy and she was staying in the same room as mine and they didnt even ask for hers!

Im raging i didnt do it earlier. Id say do it now and get it out of the way.

Meant to also say, Mine didnt have it that much during the day but some days if they were tried they would have it. Ds2s speech has come on SO much since getting rid of it, everyone is commenting on it.

Cut down daytime slowly at 12 months. Startef with only used for sleep then they stayed in the bedroom. Then they stopped altogether at 2.
