Me, DH and DS thinking of moving to Brighton cos the prices in Lobdon have become more than ridiculous.
Can anyone recommend good infant/primary schools down there please? Will have to apply for them soon. Thanks

Hiya, I live in Brighton :)

There are a number of good schools down here, it really depends on what area you live in. A few off the top of my head which I know are good are Balfour Infants, Downs Junior and St Martins :) Thats Brighton though, I'm not so familiar with Hove x

You'd get more responses if you have a look at the Brighton local section on here. And it is like London here, in that some areas are pricey and some are less so, the closer you are to a good school the more expensive.

Thanks for your responses. Zoidberg, what's the mist popular school to get your reception age child into do you think?

I don't know in terms of the whole city, but the council schools admissions web pages can tell you as they show how many people apply for places each year - look at the Primary allocation sheet at the bottom here e.g. Downs Infants had about 3 times as many applications as places.
