I have a pile of bamboozles on order, but wanting to buy a few more different types (for the hell of it really ).

Thinking stuffables/aio as I didn't have any of those for DD, and they might be easier for my mum etc.

Sooo... what would you recommend?

Oooh, also, what do you use for night nappies? DD was a boostered white tots - any idea what a boostered bamboozle is like? I've tried out a fluffle for night and it was great, but they are hard to get cheap on ebay .

Come get excited about your fave nappy at me

bumbles for night - FAB

stuffables - I was dead keen on fuzzibunz but mine have started to leak now DD is a bit bigger (whopping actually ) so I am back to the MEOS

have fun

FS I can't wait till DS is born and bigger so I can get some size 2's!

how did u find the fluffle during the day?

Flamesparrow · 18/01/2006 15:05

Not tried the fluffle during the day... DD is dry now, just bedtime use. Its much bigger than the normal size 2s, so still fitted her well (she's in size 3 normal tots if I put her in them at night). I was just impressed with how light it felt - i guess where its microfibre it is much lighter in the mornings.

Will go look at bumbles now...

i love the weenotions nappies that I have, homemade by a mum. found out about them when someone posted a link here last year. they are stuffable and made of microfibre fleece. Have 4, they are fab. and fairly slim fitting
not sure of website , maybe weenotions.co.uk?

Dozeynoo · 18/01/2006 21:40

With son no.1 I started with bambino mio prefolds as I wasn't keen on the bulk of the shaped terry nappies and had a limited budget. Switched to 'Super Whisper' wraps as they could be washed at 60 degrees in the same wash as the nappies.

Once he was mobile switched to large FuziBunz (www.babykind.co.uk were the best price at the time) as the prefolds wouldn't stay in place. Stuffed the Fuzis with the medium prefolds as I already had them. He got to the stage where he leaked out of everything at night - including disposables. 'The Nappy Lady' recommended the bumbles which I used until he was potty trained and would definately recommend them for night use.

Son number 2 is in reusables alot sooner. Love the 'original' size 1 tots bot for night time use (bought for no.1 but never used). He's getting too big for it now so have just ordered a selection from TotBots. Tried him in the Bumble last night but its still a bit too wide between the legs for him (16 weeks) even though they say it can be used as a birth to toddler, it didn't look all that comfortable so will but it back in the cupboard for a couple of weeks.

MrsDoolittle · 18/01/2006 21:48

Flame - you've heard me go on about these nappies before....Bumbles!! They are great. They are the only nappy that I have used form birth with dd. I use them only as a night time nappy because I like the allover fleece lining in them. They are economical, stuffable and very cute.
They are the only nappy that I knew I definitely needed more of for #2.
My pink and blue ones have arrived (I ordered some last week) and I am waiting on the lilac and turquiose. Postage is free.
Love them!

Flamesparrow - I spotted the WEenotions Hana mentioned on Wahmall.co.uk. tHey look similar to Ellas House nappies, but with multicoloured stitching and rainbow poppers - v cute. THey are WEE WONDERS

I've just topped up dd's nappy supply with 4 Bamboozles and one Ella's House hemp nappy. Both are mega absorbant, but the EH one takes ages to dry. Still slim and fleecy though. Look at Ella's House

I found a Bamboozle was as absorbant as a normal Tots, not more, but as it's sooooooo slim I love it - much better for finding clothes to fit! But Tosbots wraps are now too big to fit over a bamboozles - ME wraps are still fine.

Happy shopping!

I love slinki minki's for nightime, so soft and cute, come in lots of lovely patterns.

But also have a couple of wee notions pocket nappies on order...can't wait

tinytotmummy · 21/01/2006 21:12

I absolutely love minki huggles for nightime. They come in lots and lots of different colours and are completely fleece lined. They have a booster inside which flaps out for quicker drying. You can get them at babykind.co.uk

maisiemog · 23/01/2006 20:53

Huggles are fab night nappies as are stuffies, the hemp stuffie is very absorbent.
Gorgeous day nappies are Poochies (now makes pocket nappies at banana babies) or Happy Nappy Days or Modern Baby premiums. A lot of the US WAHM nappies are beautiful and you can pick them up on a lot of buy and sell forums.
I hear Wee Notions has a new pocket nappy which is good.

NotAPooEatingZebra · 23/01/2006 21:04

I love bumhuggers.

PeachyClair · 23/01/2006 21:24

hempresto

I Havne't actually tried these as I had already bought my washables when I met the lady who designed them, Becks. However I was extremely impressed by all the research she put in on the materials and specs, and how hard she slaves making them with three small kids. She's quite an environmentalist, really believes.

I used stuffables myself and loved them , I'd used different for ds1 and 2, but ds3's stuffables were the eaiest. but I owuld use Beck's nappies next time, even though she has now moved away so can't use it as an excuse for a gossip.

BonyM · 23/01/2006 23:15

Not really keen on Wee Notions myself (I have one but it's the last one I reach for). My fave stuffables are Happy Heinys - gorgeous prints, great fit (aplix) and rarely get a leak (unlike with Fuzzis which always seem to leak).
