My dd is nearly 6yo and in yr 1, she came out of school today and burst into tears sobbing Sad she said that a girl in her class had been horrible to her all day and when the were putting their chairs up on the table had deliberatly bashed dd with it.

She has never complained about this girl before and is sensitive generally, so do I say something to the teacher in the morning or wait to see?

Dd said tonight she wants to go to a different school Sad

Go in gently, first thing, but make sure it stops now.

It will be fine to tell the teacher in the morning. I teach (Y2 and 3) and would far rather a parent brought something like this to my attention sooner rather than later. Hope your DD has a better day tomorrow.

If it went on all day, I hope the teacher spotted it.

Mentioned to the teacher this morning and she said the girl in question had been 'aggressive' all afternoon yesterday and had been spoken to about it but she would keep a close eye on it again to day.

Thankfully dd came out of school smiling saying that it had been a much better day and it sounded like there hadn't been any other incidents. So all good Smile

Thanks again.

Oh good, so pleased for your dd. (And how reassuring to know the teacher was on top of it, too - what a good teacher she sounds.)
