Preserving childhood memories

When I had children - and, indeed, when I was a child - there weren't many more ways of saving memories than taking photos, getting them developed and then popping them in a frame or photo album. Now, not many people seem to do that. And why should they where there are so many other ways of recording your child growing up.

I wrote a post on preserving memories in the digital age:

I'd love to know if any of you have anything to contribute, any further ways to keep images/videos safe for viewing in years to come. It seems that children now won't be leaving old photo albums to their kids in their wills but instead will be leaving Facebook passwords and external hard drives!
