Feels like an uphill struggle!

I am trying so hard to make a go of it but I just seem to come up against a brick wall every time.
To cut a long story short I have a toddler and a child of school age.
The toddler goes on a daily rampage of knocking things over, spilling drinks, opening drawers and cupboards, getting stuff out. toys all over the floor.
So I feel it's a waste of time and effort trying to keep it clean.Sad
The older DC is at school in the daytime but I know about it when he is home.
They both run around, or climb all over each other, then I get the older DC answering back ( he has a thinks he knows it all attitude). They are both very fussy at meal times which I am finding difficult cause I am trying so hard to improve my cooking skills but everything that has been "Home made" this week has been refused by them. I then have to make them something else just so I know they have eaten.
School don't help cause they send home lots of homework but DS won't do it without us constantly nagging at him.
DH is working silly hours so we don't get any quality time to ourselves.

I just feel like giving up right now.
Noone tells you it's going to be this hard!

Sorry you ate feeling this way blackcat. Do you have time to do set activities with your LOs so they have less time to cause chaos? May be let them help you with the cooking so they have a better understanding of what they are eating & they might just eat it if they have made it themselves. Do you like somewhere near a park or have good route for a quick walk outside? Let the kid burn off some energy before tea & may be eye-spy etc.

Let the kids....
Sorry iPhone is crazy!
If there are activities in place then your LOs will be engaged enough to not get in to mischief. You may find you are less stressed as you will be having fun with them.
