I picked up my daughter 7yo, from school and had a rota so had to bring other kids home first. When we got to their house, my daughter wanted to play there, but the mother said no. DD got upset and said she wanted to go to someones house, anywhere but ours because ours is so boring, she hates it. When we got home, she refused to come into the house, and only after an hour she came in. I sent her to her room because of this but she came down being all bolshy and disrespectful to me. Then my DS, 9yo, came home and started acting up, refusing to eat his dinner as usual.
THey don't take me seriously at all, when i tell them off, they giggle! I feel like such a failure! I try so hard to make a routine for all 4 of them, but its impossible when they dont behave!
Also, what do your kids that age do after school, and what do they play with. I wonder if my house really is so boring....
