Gah. Really suffering at the moment. I've got one more unit and my dissertation to go before I finish my Master's and I just want to jack it all in. I can't say I've loved it up until now but I haven't resented it the way I am currently hating it. I can't even think of the reasons I wanted to do it in the first place and am seriously considering stopping. DP would be furious with me and my tutors would be disappointed but I really don't want to carry on.

I've been going for nearly 2 years - why am I losing momentum when it will all be over in 8 months??

I'm only a second year student, so I have yet to experience the pressure you must be under, but to me it sounds like you are just having a set back. Most of my friends who are mature students have felt the same.

Think of how hard you have worked to get where you are now, and how proud you will be when you finish. Focus on that to get through the tough times. It will all be worth it in the end! You can do it!

I've been there OP, and the best advice I can give is to do it one day at a time. I know it's a cliche. But 8 months is too long to process. Just get through today's goal (e.g. section 2.2.3) and don't think beyond that. Good luck!
