Not Cuddly?

My DS is 15 months old and I love him to bits. Problem is (i dont actually know if it is a problem or normal) he doesnt seem to like cuddles. The only time he cuddles is if hes very tired or not feeling great. I'd love to cuddle him more, build our closeness, but he wont have any of it! I hasten to add it isnt just me he wont cuddle, its everyone. I know he loves me cos he is always smiling and laughing at me, he just... hates being cuddled. I wish he didnt! Anyone elses DC like this? Can I make him more tactile?

DD wasn't cuddly until recently (she's 20 months now) - I had to kind of train her to give out hugs and kisses Blush and she was happy to do it because we all made a big fuss and applauded when she did! I've noticed in the last month or so she has started to spontaneously hug me, Dh and her Granny but it has been a very recent development (and a very lovely one Grin )

Normal! I got cuddles when reading a story or bf. That was it. Now at 2.3, DS will come for cuddles.

Very normal. It took our DD (almost 2) until the last three months to get into cuddles and kisses - before that she resisted with all her might.

Now it's gone from one extreme to the other, with the house resounding with shouts of "carry-cuddle! carry-cuddle!". Although it can feel a bit clingy sometimes (when I'm trying to cook, for example) the lack of demonstrative affection up until recently means we really appreciate the glut!
