I love this. I love how excited they are and how he really really isn't talking.

(My PFB is a genius too! Bit early to tell with NSC)

Aw, the parent's reactions are more cute than the very cute baby! Have you seen some of the comments though? Hilarious!

Cinderfella · 01/01/2012 17:43

I love the way the mum says "he's so smart!" Grin

my mother in law thinks all babies talk and spends most of her time in their company going.....

'are you telling me a story?'
'are you telling me a tale?'
'ooo that's a lovely story!'
'REALLY??!'

total nut job lol

Workshy - everyone in my family does the same.

"Are you telling me stories? Are you? Yes you are! That was a wonderful story!"

I think it's quite common. Smile

hayesgirl · 01/01/2012 22:28

Hilarious! If those are his first words the my DS is much more advanced than I thought - better sign him up for genius school! Lol! Those comments are brilliant though - strategy planning and graphs! :)

Work shy - I say this stuff to my DS too! Ha!

workshy · 01/01/2012 22:30

Really workshy? That's how everyone talks to babies isn't it?

Oneofthechildlessones · 02/01/2012 18:01

I talk to the babies I nanny for like that workshy

"Really..... I could agree with that.... Yes.... good point .... however....." Grin

DitaVonCheese · 02/01/2012 23:56

Ha, I used to talk to my PFB like that too - little bit to NSC too but mainly he just gets left in front of the telly Wink

I totally believe that a 2.5 month old wants to and can communicate, but I think describing normal baby noises as "first words" and almost dying of excitement because your baby responds to you is delightfully hilarious. I am very sorry that they did not regularly update the internet with young Ethan's many achievements.
