Why doI feel bad about not putting DD to bed?

Tonight after work I am starting weekly tap lessons (something I have always wanted to do). It means going to the lesson straigt from work and getting home after DD (aged 3) is in bed. DH will collect her from nursery and he is as good at the bed time routine as I am so I have no practical worries. But I feel bad not putting her to bed. I feel guilty that I work full time which logically I know is stupid as if I didn't work we would be on the streets also for first 2 years of DD life I was single parent. Could it be that in 2 parent families (where both work full time) nursery collection/ bed time routine is shared between both parents?

It would be great to hear from others who also seee little of their kids Mon - Fri but who allow themselves a guilt free night off from the bed time routine.

Enjoy yourself you need a break, one night a week willnot hurt and will give DH time to have quality time with her.
