When I have time away from my dc or they're asleep at night I have huge waves of love towards them but when I'm actually with them, spend most of the time feeling irritated and desperate to get time to myself. They're 6 and 3 and really quite easy dc in most ways. I feel like this really makes me a pretty crappy mother.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Cos no matter how lovely they are kids can be pretty irritating. This is normal as long as you have some positive time together.

You never heard of the phrase 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'? :) Love my DS to bits but also love the days when he's off on some school overnight trip or he's spending some time at his grandparents' house. I really wouldn't worry about it.... I'd say you were an entirely normal mother, in fact.
