Books on developmental stages?

Can anyone recommend a book on developmental stages that toddlers go through?

I'm not hunting a parenting manual as such, just something that gives me an indication of the stages so I can work out why DS is suddenly refusing to leave my side...

TIA!

Marking my place in case someone has any good ideas. Unfortunately The Wonder Weeks stops at 17 months.

"from birth to five" by Mary Sheridan covers gross and fine motor skill and speech development but can't remember if it covers behaviour. It's an interesting read.

I second the sheriden book, its a good presentation of development used by psychologists too and does include behaviour... It is very well respected and the developmental journal used by early support is based in part on the content within...

"What to Expect ... Toddlers" goes up to 3.
