Okay fellow nappyholics.
Now I have about 10 size one totsbots nappies which I used for a year on dd, so they are well used.
So now that I am expecting a ds in 6 weeks do I buy soem more nappies, which I can't afford but can't resist, or do I stay with what I have?

I may disappear under nappy mountain

Hmmm.... I'd say that you could justify about 5 more - just so that you stay on top of the washing

MrsDoolittle · 10/01/2006 14:01

So do you think I should get some some bamboozles or the new coloured bumbles? - I always used bumbles for night

i'va fallen in love with bamboozles.... do you still have any bumbles for nights?

Oooh, or you could go for 2 of one and 3 of another.

If you don't have any left for nights, then I would think that stretching the total to 7 or 8 is more than justified .... Don't you love how easily I can spend other people's money?

I have 5 bumbles for nights and dd will be in them for a while yet, I guess. So I could definately justify a couple more of them
I was thinking about fluffles but apprently they aren't that good and they don't they feel like microfibre cloth?
I use microfibre cloths as boosters but I can stand the feel of them. Also don't they cause nappy rash?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 10/01/2006 14:54

I've tried out a fluffle on DD for night, and it was lovely - very light because of being microfibre. It has a pocket type liner in it, and if you fleece it too, then the micro shouldn't be a problem for rash.

Seems a shame to buy them when there are bumbles out there too though....

MrsDoolittle · 10/01/2006 14:55

Really, I ought to sell some.
I have 10 size 1 tots (fading)
5 MEOS, which I am using now
8 size 2 tots, 2 unbleached and 5 rainbow
3 large slinki minkis
2 medium cutie patooties
3 large cutie patooties - nice slim nappies

So quite a few I guess

I don't mind the bulkiness at night time. I think they are cosy!! and very cute.

a couple more wouldn't hurt!
I have a few microfibre nappies and they are fab, esp at nigh - I havent' seen any bamboozles or bumbles before, are they similar to tots?

spots · 10/01/2006 15:06

I think you need some more MrsD. Definitely! I used bumbles on DD as a tiny without the inner pad and they were great... we bought 24 I think. And I am planning to get a few more for the next babe, just to mark the occasion!

Didn't clock you were having a ds, what a treat . hope all going well.

Flamesparrow · 10/01/2006 15:06

Can never have too many nappies... I have something like 8 or 10 rainbow tots, 3 white (all size 2), 7 or so kissaluvs (being lent to a friend so it looks less )

Just ordered 15 bamboozles, already have one, (size 1), and have 2 rainbow size1s

Could soooo easily buy more. Not entirely sure what we're going for for nights with the new baby yet, so may be forced to order some sort of night ones... maybe fluffle size 1....

Flamesparrow · 10/01/2006 15:08

Hana - not experienced bumbles, but bamboozles are thinner tots, made of bamboo - feel sooooooooo soft, but still very absorbant.

hana · 10/01/2006 15:08

bamboo? off to look!

Flamesparrow · 10/01/2006 15:10

bamboozles

MrsDoolittle · 10/01/2006 15:16

Look what I've just found!!

Bumbles it is then.

I have used bumbles for night time ever since dd was 10 weeks old. Now she's 21 months and I'm still using them. I only have 5, so a few more isn't too difficult to justify now that I think about it.

I really don't fancy the feel of the microfibre fluffles, I hate the way they stick to your fingers.

MrsDoolittle · 10/01/2006 15:17

Ah nooo they're bimbles and I want bumbles!!

OP posts:

MrsDoolittle · 10/01/2006 15:46

Never worry about having too many nappies!

If it makes you feel better, I have about 20 size 1 Tots, about 40 size 2 Tots, 10 or so size 3's, and an assortment of 'must try them' nappies!

Normally only use Tots, v.occasionally will use a ME multifit if I want a v.slim nappy.

I wash every three days, and they take two-ish days to dry, so I need quite a lot. DH hasn't yet complained, as I bought them slowly over a few months

hana · 11/01/2006 09:35

70+ nappies??!!
wow, I think I will order more for dd2 after all!

Laura032004 · 11/01/2006 09:42

Yes

The night before wash day I will have 18ish dirty. Another 18 dry ready to use on the airer. So I need 40 minimum. Size 1's are currently in storage for the next baby, so only really using size 2's and 3's.

I figure by having a lot, they will get less overall wear, and will definitely last for two babies.

I could get by with less, but it would make my life a lot more difficult. This makes cloth v.easy (esp since dh has nappy rinsing duty each night )

I think you win the award for true addict!!!

I moderate a cloth forum, and I think you probably beat everyone on there!!!

Laura032004 · 11/01/2006 11:17

Don't tell my DH that

I don't think I am a true addict - I don't have any of these Bumbles, Bamboozles and Bimbles! (Daren't buy any to try either!)

Flamesparrow · 11/01/2006 11:45

Ahh yes, good point - a mere amateur, just a tots obsessive
