What does the tooth fairy do with the teeth??

Thats it really!! DS has just lost his first tooth and apart from the anticipation of the tooth fairy coming and leaving money...whilst he's asleep!! he asked what the fairies do with the teeth. I told him i didn't really know and i would ask my friends on MN what they thought. He said perhaps they gave them to the dentist for people who needed pretend ( false) ones!!
So... what do they do with the teeth!!?? Tell me what you told your children!!

Carve them into little statues according to DD.

Build a castle, of teeth.

grind them up to make fairy dust

the really pretty ones get used to build fairy houses. But you have to clean your teeth really well every time for them to be good enough for that

Use them as bricks for houses/schools etc in fairy land, obviously!

Piano keys.

dd had a book which told us that she plants them in the sky as stars

I said that noone really knows as noone has ever seen a tooth fairy:)

My parents always told me that they use them to make dentures and that tooth fairies grow up to be dentists

they use them to make pretty necklaces

so obviously they only want the really nice teeth ;)

My mum told me that the fairies make tiny furniture out of teeth for their fairy houses.
