Thanks that helped although I did have another thread that I started and thought your response was for that and panicked..
Managed to get nearly 1000 words done yesterday (not bad between 2hourly feeds, explosive nappies and an emergency bath for me and ds) and have done another 200 and lots of tidying it up today. Only 1300 to go

Sounds like you are doing well! When is it due in? What is it about. I love hearing about other people's research. Sorry, not helpful for stopping you procrastinate :)

Everytime I think I am nearly there I find something I am not happy with.
It is a small scale research study into the impact parental support has on children's learning. The focus is mainly on reading.

Well you're much further ahead with yours than I am with mine. I need to have 10,000 words (or thereabouts) by end Feb. So far I have about 4500 and not entirely happy with those. On the plus side, I must remember that it is only worth 30% of my overall final year marks. On the minus side, I have no statistical data (not that kind of work), and I have to allow time to print and bind 3 copies. Intending to take this week and next week off from studies, then get back to it in the following few weeks.
I am likely to be back with a cry for motivation/kick up bum later!
