I have always put my 3 children to sleep on their backs as advised but my 6 month old has begun to turn himself over onto his front to go to sleep, is this now okay at 6 months or do i have to keep turning him over?

I'm pretty sure the advice is that once they can roll over, it's ok for them to sleep on their bellies.

in spain, btw, the official advice is to put them to sleep face down from day 1. I'm not sure which side know something the other don't (but suspect it's the uk)

Mine does the same. Most often he wakes himself up and demands to be rolled over even though he can roll himself back. SeñoraPostrophe is right - the advice here is that once they can roll over it's okay.

my dd did this from 12 weeks. I was told by my hv that as long s she was strong enough to turn on her tummy she could turn back and was therefore perfectly safe
