Bedtime-what's right for your 6 year old in year one?

Wondering if our dd could be kept up a bit longer to get a bit of one to one time. She's usually in bed going to sleep by seven.

i have a son aged 6 1/2 and daughter 3 1/2. their bedtime is usually around the half 7 mark. sometimes earlier if theyre tired and later (maybe half 8) on a fri or sat, not both.
if it was our only chance to have one to one time i would keep them up a bit later.

mine is 6 at the end of Jan, I try to get him in bed and stories finished by 8pm.

Helpful thanks. We're on the early side then?

I think mine at 8pm is slightly on the late side, but he is shaping up to be like his brother who doesn't seem to need as much sleep.

DS (6) is in year two, but still is in bed by 7. He is a very early riser though, and is asleep within minutes. We have started letting him stay up on a Friday, but he still gets up at stupid O'clock the next morning Grin

I suppose I could try ds in bed earlier to achieve the same effect of half an hour with dd. They do seem to be up early whatever time they go to bed.

ds is 5 and has a 7.45pm bedtime during the week and 8.30pm at weekends. He is always up for 7am

My dd went to bed at 8 ( stories finished ) from the time she was three until a few months ago. Now she gets up at 6 for school so she goes to bed at 7:30. She hasn't even noticed as we moved dinner and bath earlier too. She will be six next month.
