I am of the opinion that it saves washing and that has to be good.

No, I would have thought the opposite, not really unhygenic, but unhealthy for a small girl to be be-knickered at night.

Both dd and I both sleep pj'ed and pantless, I certainly don't wash pj's every day either, why would you?
