toddler gloves... that stay put?

Would really welcome any help!

I have gloves with fingers, mittens with no fingers, mittens with just thumbs. They are all wool and all come off shortly after starting our walk, bike ride etc. They get pulled off. Even with elastic attaching them to inside of sleeves, they still come off when pulled off deliberately ...

I am so so so bored of stopping in the street and restling a resistant toddler whilst putting gloves back on ... only for them to be taken off again instantly..

is there something that stays on?

I'm thinking of making something like this but with gloves in the end....

ski type mittens. They have a strap round/on the wrist to stop them falling off - can't be undone and pulled off either when both hands are mittened. Grin

A coat the next size up which you can pull down to cover his hands. Not much help if you've just bought a coat though Wink

Umm.. Not sure if this helps but DS has had cold hand for the last 2 years, even in snow/bike rides and I did what noopy said (but bought extra long armed jumpers instead of a big coat and a top with loopholes for your thumb which worked ok).

This year he ASKED for a pair of gloves and actually wears them so there is light at the end of the tunnel! (Maybe cos I hadn't thought to buy the pale pink glittery gloves he chose and now loves Grin)
