Hope this is the right cristina, we met in debenhams with georgieporgie....

i just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for recommending the book how to talk so kids will listen and listen so kids will talk....once i got over my cynicism and stopped being put off by the cartoons and american-ish language it has been amazing.....really really helpful and actually quite sophisticated in terms of the techniques it describes. today was the first day that i tried to implement some of them: took ds to tate modern with his cousins and he was unbelievably well behaved!!!!! the whole thing of describing how what he does makes me feel and describing what he is doing rather than saying he is being naughty works so well.....

thank you!!!

if you fancy meeting up again sometime, CAT me, I'd love to hear from you...

It's a great book isn't it? Sitting down with a notebook and pencil to find ideas to correct behaviour really works well in this house, especially with ds (now 7).

hi flashingnose...i always think of you when i think about new york as i'd never have gone without your wholehearted encouragement (unless i've got the wrong person in which case ignore me).
