I don't think I want to carry on OU A150

I am doing my second OU level one course, first one passed four years ago (introduction to humanities). I am now doing voices and texts and although I'm enjoying the course, i have no motivation and not enough time.

I am trying to push myself along by remembering what got me through last time. Confused I have one more child now and about 8 hours (if that) child free time during the day for a 15 hour course plus weekends. Confused If I pull out now I would get 80% course credit note to use in 18 months but that puts my having another baby plan out the window or I can do a course starting may when I'll have more childcare but its over summer hols, what shall i do?

do u have an exam at the end of it or just tmas? i have done three courses, one straight after the other, work four days a week and have child with SEN and medical problems. its been really hard, especially with the last course which had an exam (waiting to find out if i have passed but expecting to have to resit in April). didnt like my last course at all and had to really make an effort, i did the minimum for the tmas and spent a lot less time on it than i should have (about nine hours a week at most). i found breaking my work done into sections to complete each day/couple of days much easier to do and setting aside a set time every other evening to work. got through the course and now having a break until Feb. have a look on Facebook to see if there is a group for your course, having others to talk to and discuss topics with gives you a lot more motivation !!! good luck

Hi county,

Thanks for your reply. I think my only choice is to knuckle down and do know what today I'm actually feeling a fire in my belly for it. Smile

I'm going to aim for 8 hours a week which is just over half the recommended time but the whole 15 is too overwhelming!

I have an exam in march. I hope you pass yours. What courses have you done/doing next.
