I accidentally became pregnant and had my baby in 2009, three months into my pregnancy I met my current partner and now she would like to have another child. Our daughter has a strong relationship with her father but we're concerned that having a child using an anonymous sperm donor would lead to one child having a dad and the other not, is there anyone who has encountered this situation before?

I haven't but I wanted to say, there are all sorts of families out there that aren't the typical nuclear family that manage just fine. Your second baby would have two parent's and be loved. That's enough for a happy child IMO.

I think it's fine. Families are all different now and that's just what you have to teach your children. There's lots of good books to read them about how families can differ and how all of them are fabulous in their own way :)

Would your DD's father consider being the donor dad?
