Hello,
Wondering if anyone has any advice as I am feeling a bit lost. My normally lovely 4 year old son has started calling people names and using bad words a lot...nothing adult bad, just words I don't like, such as poo head or stinky.
I have had countless conversations about it trying to explain that is is mean and wrong but he just laughs and continues. Have tried warnings, timeouts and taking away treats when he does it but nothing really seems to last long.
Was wondering if I am just over reacting and should try and ignore it but then today before his nap he told me he was going to smash my head into a box! So gutted. I ended up not giving him a cuddle before sleep so then he got really tearful and I explained why I didn't want to cuddle him and then gave him a big hug but this mean streak is really starting to get to me as he is usually so lovely.
