DD is 2y 5m and is pretty good at telling me when she needs to go if she has a bare bum. However, she does not like knickers at all, and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. Any other littlies been like this? Any suggestions??

Is it all pants? How about letting her go out and choose a pack of "special" ones of her own.Maybe a character pair of her preference might help. Also go for a size bigger so they are baggy and easier to pull up and down.

Have tried that, and she chose a pack with fairies on over usual charcters that she likes and she does seem to quite like them, but think she mainly liked the little handbag type thing they came in.

I will try bigger ones though, that's a good idea, thanks.

my friends dd, nearly 3 also has an aversion to pants of any kind! most of time at home she has bare naked bum, but will consent to wearing pants at childminders but thats all! tis not really a problem, though i can understand you wanting to encourage some pant-wearing!

have just taken my own advice and orderd some of the girls boxer shorts from vertbaudet for dd. she's 4 and had a real tantrum today because her knickers kept going up her bum, poor thing!. i have bought her underwear from asda, tesco, next and mothercare in the past, but find that the crotch area is always too small, its no wonder she finds them uncomfortable. should have got her some of these ages ago.
