I have 2 dc 24 months apart, and dc3 after a 10 year gap!! Not that I'm advising you to wait that long but I'm sure a gap however short or long will be fine in the end!

I have a 17 month age gap & I love it. Especially now they are 1yr & 2yr old's. However, it is bloody exhausting and although I wouldn't change it for the world I'm going to aim for a 3yr ish age gap for the next one.

I have 3 yr gaps between my 3, not planned that way, just happened to get broody at the same point each time. Was ok, although I haven't experienced anything else so can't judge.

My first was pretty jealous of my second, although as he grew older they became very close, the third is often left out at the moment as he is only 2 and a little terror, he tries to join in everything and I'm sure once he is a bit more reasonable and bit less free and easy with the teeth he will happily play with the other two.

I had twins second time round, so didn't get to choose an age gap! However my friend has 18 mths between dc2 and 3 and finds it VERY hard having 3 under 5. Luckily her eldest has started school full time, so at least he's out all day, but the middle one is not yet in pre-school/ nursery so she has a toddler and a baby, on top of school runs. Personally I'd wait till dc2 is in pre-school or school nursery (3-4yrs old) before dc3 is born. Obv you'd need to start trying a bit before that Wink.
