She's come out of school in floods of tears (proper upset, not attention seeking) due to the fact that her boyfriend has asked another girl out without first 'dumping her' first. She's normally a bit standoffish in nature, but has been clingy and cuddly today.
She's ten! The relationship is obviously harmless, and it seems to be the done thing at her school for boys and girls to say they are 'going out' when really they are just very good friends, but basically she feels rejected by her 'boyfriend'.
I thought I'd have a good few years before the first bit of boy-related heartbreak!
