Parenting classes in West Suffolk

Can anybody recommend parenting classes in West Suffolk?

Alas no, can't help you there. You may be lucky to find anything - I certainly didn't. But head over the border into Cambridgeshire and you'll find every flavour of parenting you could ever wish for - West Suffolk just doesn't do it. With my 1st we had the 3 one hour classes the mid wives offered (at 38 weeks - we almost missed them completely), and if you have another baby you don't get a refresher. The midwife ones were actually quite good - they covered (a) where's the car park, (b) three choices of pain relief and you don't really know what you'll want until you're in labour, (c) take the top/tail bowl home so you don't waste money buying one, (d) yes, noone know why you'd want cot bumpers and (e) baby lotion is good for removing eye makeup but what's that got to do with babies ?

BTW, I don't know anyone who has found the classes you pay for much use, but they are good for meeting mums-to-be. NCT sales are great though - bought all the clothes needed for 0-6 months for under £20.

Hi Nattie, from another Nat in West Suffolk, have you asked your health visitor. I know also NCT do some post natal classes.
